Storage
Store this medication at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep this and all medications out of the reach of children.
How To Use
Take this medication by mouth exactly as directed by your doctor. Do not increase your dose, use it more frequently or use it for a longer period of time than prescribed because this drug can be habit-forming. If used for an extended period, do not suddenly stop using this drug without your doctor's approval. Over time, this drug may not work as well. Consult your doctor if this medication stops working well.
Side Effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, or loss of coordination may occur. Dry mouth, headache or stomach upset rarely occurs. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: rapid/pounding or irregular heartbeat, changes in vision, slurred speech, confusion, depression, behavior changes. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Precautions
Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: kidney disease,liver disease, muscle problems (myasthenia gravis), history of chemical or alcohol dependence, depression, any allergies you may have. Limit alcohol intake because it may increase the drowsiness and dizziness caused by this medication. Because this medication may make you drowsy/dizzy, use caution performing task requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. The elderly may be more sensitive to the effects of this medication. Use cautiously. This medication is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before using this medication. Bromazepam may be excreted into breast milk and may have undesirable effects on a nursing infant. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Missed Dose
Try to take each dose at the scheduled time. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.
Drug Interactions
Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription medication you may use, especially of: anti- seizure medication, antidepressants, certain antihistamines (e.g., diphenhydramine), narcotic pain relievers, sleeping pills, tranquilizers. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
